Technology at this point in time has been associated with mobile devices and gadgets. Functionally it allows us to get rid of boredom, connect with friends and communicate with ease. Be mindful of this reality, technology is not only about all these modern devices. The truth is long before these modern tools came, technology covers a vast array of meaning and function.
As we know it, every individual in every society and culture has undergone much change through time. Survival skills are necessary to surpass the challenges posed by the external environment. It’s good that man is not only inquisitive but also innovative. He was able to develop ways to utilize all the elements found in his surroundings which became his tool to satisfy his needs. These elements provided means to improve his life from being agricultural towards being technological. Let us be awed by how our likes have intelligently manipulated the elements in the surroundings for survival.
Time has revealed massive development evident in inventions, technological innovations, and immense creations devised to reflection the infinite intelligence of humans like us. Undeniably, our rise from individual existence towards that of becoming a person for others is a result of our evolution from being simple entities who struggled to survive in the midst of these harsh environments. This action was geared towards becoming a complex being that rose to control over his external surrounding to serve and answer basic but very important needs to survive and connect.
And looking back to our elders we shall see that technology is not just a product of the modern man. Technologies in its real sense are products of human needs. Now these needs are entirely dependent on our vast requirements that changes every now and then.
Life as we know it is lived well through technology. However, the question is are we using technology according to what we need or are we using it just to satisfy our limitless cravings and whims? Time to ponder!
